Guest lecture on “Sustainable Design of Long Span bridges” by A. SAI BABA, CHIEF ENGINEER INDIAN RAILWAYS, :24/04/2015.

About :

Civil department students of all the colleges in Chaitanya Group are being addressed by chief guest A. Sai Baba, Chief Engineer of Indian Railways, who is a gold medalist in B.Tech, top ranker in GATE & IES also. He was awarded “Best engineer” by various universities in 2012, 2013 & 2014. He delivered many lectures all over the world.

He explained about site selection, sustainable material, design, and health maintenance of the bridge structure. His emphatic lecture emphasized the need for sustainable design of long span bridges. Most part of his lecture comprised of visuals depicting various case studies regarding sustainable bridges all over the world.

At the end of the lecture he delivered valuable suggestions about career development and competitive exams like IES, GATE, APPSC & interviews.

Guest lecture on “Indian Infrastructure & Construction Section” by K.N. SATYANARAYANA , PROF.CIVIL DEPARTMENT , I.I.T. MADRAS : 13/09/2014

About :

Civil department students of all the colleges in Chaitanya Group were addressed by chief guest K.N. SATYANARAYANA , an eminent professor in the department of civil engineering in the prestigious Indian institute of Technology Madras

He explained about the role of Civil engineering in the past, present and future scenarios. His scrupulous lecture emphasized the need for gaining the concepts of civil engineering. Large portion of his lecture comprised of visuals depicting various case studies regarding infrastructure all over the world.

At the end of the lecture he delivered valuable suggestions about competitive exams like IES, GATE, APPSC & interviews.

Conducted workshop on advanced Surveying -“Industry oriented Civil Workshop” using Total Station on : 10/02/2015 to 17/02/2015

About : The workshop is designed to prepare the Students to handle sophisticated state- of- the- art survey equipment and to execute large survey projects. Students get trained for survey data collection, computational analysis of survey data and data synchronization with integrated technology like GIS and CAD and error analysis

Industrial Visits

INDUSTRIAL VISITS : 2

Organized a visit for Third year students to Srisailam & Nagarjuna sagar Dam and power plant on : 09/10/2015 to 11/10/2015.

About:

Visited and explained the various  designs of Turbines, Model Of srisailam & Nagarjuna sagar Project , Left Canal , Right Canal, Rocks, power plant.


 

INDUSTRIAL VISITS :1

Organized a visit for final year students to Bhupathipalem Reservoir & Nearby structures on : 11/10/2014

About:

Explained the various water levels of reservoir like Maximum Flood Level, Maximum Bund Level, Free Board Level, Dead Storage, Intake Well & Crane Girder
